A first course tasty and rich... far beyond the usual risotto you're probably friendly with.

Risotto with taleggio cheese and sausage

Ingredients for 3 persons:

  • 300 g of rice 
  • 200 g of sausage
  • 170 g of taleggio cheese
  • 30 g of parmisan cheese
  • 1 glass of red wine
  • half onion
  • 1 litre of broth 
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil

Instructions:

Pour the oil in a pan and add finely chopped onion using our black ceramic Santoku knife you'll find in our Katana kit, now available with a 50% discount. If you're looking for great olive oil and you live in the USA, check this site out! After a few minutes add the sausage paste and fry for about 2/3 minutes. Then add the rice, toast it a bit and blend it with red wine. Proceed cooking rice, adding broth if necessary. Remember not to add salt because sausage and taleggio cheese will be enough salty making your final result very tasty. 5 minutes from the end of cooking process stir in the cheese and the Parmesan (please, use REAL Italian Parmesan). Serve with a red wine like Barbera or Bonarda. And now enjoy!
